Your first mock interview

A full session is ten questions and takes about thirty minutes. Here's what to expect so nothing surprises you mid-interview.

Before you start

  1. Run the mic check on your dashboard — the session is voice-first, so sort any microphone issues before the questions start.
  2. Make sure your CV is uploaded and the job advert is saved on the Practice page. Your questions are generated from both.
  3. Find a quiet spot. You'll be speaking your answers out loud, just like the real interview.

During the session

  • Each question is read aloud to you, then you get thinking time (about ten seconds) before the microphone opens — use it the way you would a real interviewer's pause.
  • Answers can run up to three minutes each. You don't need to fill the time; a tight two-minute answer usually scores better than a rambling three-minute one.
  • If life interrupts, don't panic — your progress is kept and the session can be resumed.

After you finish

Your answers are transcribed and scored, and your report is generated — you'll get an email when it's ready, and it appears on your dashboard. Each answer gets a score and specific feedback, and the session rolls up into a readiness score out of 100. From there, head to understanding your report to turn the feedback into better answers.

Fair-use notes

Each package includes a set number of full mock interviews, and there's a daily session cap (one or two sessions per day depending on your package) — spaced practice beats cramming, and it keeps the service reliable for everyone.
