“Tell me about yourself” answer generator

Paste a few lines about your background and the role you're applying for, and this free builder writes your “tell me about yourself” answer: a hook that positions you for the role, the two or three career beats that explain how you got here, a close on why this role is next — and a full spoken script that joins them, sized to ninety seconds out loud.

It's almost always the first question, and it decides what gets probed for the rest of the interview. The builder works only from the background you give it — your real employers, your real results — so the answer is yours to say, not a template to sound like everyone else.

Your hook is free to read immediately; enter your email and the full script with delivery tips appears on screen and lands in your inbox for rehearsal.

Free, no account needed. Up to 5 runs a day.

How it works

  1. 01

    Describe your background

Three to five plain lines: what you do now, the experience that matters, a result you're proud of. Rough notes work fine.

  2. 02

    Get your structured answer

Hook, career journey and why-this-role — plus one natural spoken script that joins them, written the way a person talks.

  3. 03

    Rehearse it out loud

An answer you've only read falls apart under pressure. Say it until the hook comes out naturally, or pressure-test it in a scored mock interview.

Frequently asked questions

Will the answer sound like AI wrote it?

The builder is instructed to write the way people speak, not the way CVs read, and it can only use the background you give it — no invented employers, no stock phrases about passion. The more specific your notes, the more the answer sounds like you. Rehearsing out loud and adjusting the words that don't fit your mouth does the rest.

How long should the answer be?

The script is sized to 150–220 words — sixty to ninety seconds spoken. That's long enough to set the agenda for the interview and short enough that the interviewer is still listening at the end.

Does it work if I'm changing careers or just graduating?

Yes — say so in your background notes. The builder shapes whatever raw material you give it: for a career changer it leads with the transferable throughline, for a graduate it builds the story from coursework, projects and internships.

Is it really free?

Yes. The hook is visible immediately; entering your email unlocks the full script and tips on screen and sends you a copy. No account, no card.
